The Real Noon
Premiere of the movie “The Real Noon” by Tajik filmmaker Nosir Saidov was held at the movie theatre Kokhi Jomi in Dushanbe on August 23.
Based on a scenario by Safo Haqdodov, the film tells the life of the lonely aged ethnic Russian who remained in remote village in Tajikistan after the collapse of the Soviet Union. His main dream is to return to his homeland. He works as meteorologist and is training neighborly girl to replace him.
Known Russian actor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Nazarov performed the leading role and young hopeful Niloufar Sharipov played the role of the neighborly girl.
Music for the movie was written by known Tajik musician and variety singer Daler Nazarov.
The Real Noon was shot in the Varzob district under financial support of a number of international organizations active in the country and the Tajik company Talco Manager.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, an art critic Natalia Karmilkina said that The Real Noon was one of successes of Tajik cinematography over the past fifteen years.
According to Nosir Saidov, the main problem is undeveloped system of distribution of movies in Tajikistan. “We have to negotiate the film sale issues with other countries by ourselves,” said the filmmaker, “To this date, we have reached an agreement on showing the film in Japan. We are currently also conducting negotiations on this subject with the French side.”
